Hello
I am a Fashion Textiles and Textiles designer and have graduated with a 2:1 degree from Somerset College in Fashion Textiles.
Current Collection Print
To create my print designs I have used my own photography to create layered and repeated patterns, experimenting with Photoshop techniques. I have recently designed prints for Sam Morray Design London as freelance. Two of my prints have been sold by Cake Studios London, in America and China.
Commissions welcome.
Current Collection Textiles Embellishment
My collection of garment panels is for an Autumn/Winter season.
My inspiration has come from car engines, bicycles and motor bike engine diagrams.
I selected areas and small parts of the diagram and designed my own patterns using Photoshop which I sublimated onto fabric. The fabric was partly soldered open, to create intricate patterns and bold shapes and threaded with contrasting ribbons to adorn the garment panels.
I also sourced metal washers that relate to my engines. These have inspired me to create wire and washer clusters to appliqué onto the garment panel necklines and body, creating a sophisticated yet chic look.
I have chosen fine Taffeta and synthetic Satins in silver-grey and midnight-blue and used the same colours in double satin and grosgrain ribbon.
The garment panels are unique, detailed and intricate, requiring concentrated hand cutting and hand sewing.
My target audience is Mid to High end High Street.
Exhibitions - New Designers, 29th June 2011-2nd July 2011, Business Design Centre London N1
Commissions welcome.
Thank you for viewing my website, please feel free to contact me.
